Created by Mystical Games, AVGhost Paranormal Investigation stands out for some features from the multitude of games that populate Games category of the most famous crowdfunding portal.

AVGhost Paranormal Investigation is a cooperative board game for 1 to 4 players who will play the role of a group of paranormal investigators. In the game they will have to solve several “strange” cases, in the core box are six for a total of about 30 hours of play.

DOSSIERS

Every case will have his beautiful dossier with photos, documents and confidential informations. The packaging and the care dedicated to the cases immediately won me over, contributing a lot to the immersion in the atmosphere and identifying with the investigators, thus greatly increasing the fun of the game itself.

LIGHT AND SHADOW

Another feature that tends to make this game stand out is that you will play it in the dark! Yes, you read that right, in the dark!
Each investigator will be represented on the tiles by a miniature, whose base will be equipped with a LED light. The light will be used to play and will play a very important role during the game.
There will also be different colored lenses to use as filters and depending on the color used to illuminate the board you will reveal different clues and dangers.

INTERACTIVE APP

The game can be played using a special app (free of course) that will expand even more the immersion and the playability.
For example, during the game to find out what is hiding in a potentially infested house we can decide to place a voice recorder in a room. Thanks to the app we can really listen what was recorded during the night, if only static noise or ……. voices from the other world !!!

The characters will come across in the course of investigations into very unfriendly and evil being! There is a limit for their poor heart and after too many emotions they will be victims of a shock that will put them out of play.

As you have read, the light is a fundamental element in the game. It will be used both to explore and to banish the undead that will be discovered in the various rooms. But the battery is not infinite and after a while, due to inconsiderate uses, you will remain in the dark !!!

 

FINAL CONSIDERATIONS

The game is meeting good reactions on Kickstarter, but I think it also deserves something more given its originality.

Maybe it pays the fact that although is not a legacy title, the replayability is very little, going to replay an already open and closed case is not so funny.

Creato dalla Mystical Games, AVGhost Paranormal Investigation si distingue per alcune caratteristiche dalla moltitudine di giochi che affollano la categoria Games del più celebre portale di crowdfunding.

AVGhost Paranormal Investigation è innanzitutto un gioco da tavolo cooperativo da 1 a 4 giocatori che vestiranno i panni di un gruppo di investigatori del paranormale. Nel gioco dovranno affrontare e risolvere diversi “strani” casi, nel core box sono ben sei per un totale di circa 30 ore di gioco.

FASCICOLI

Ogni caso avrà il suo bel fascicolo con tanto di foto, documenti e informazioni confidenziali. Il packaging e la cura dedicati ai casi mi hanno subito conquistato, contribuiscono tantissimo a immergersi nell’atmosfera e all’immedesimarsi con gli investigatori aumentando così di molto il divertimento del gioco stesso.

LUCE E OMBRA

AVGhost Paranormal Investigation – L’investigatore scaccia un fantasma grazie alla luce e al filtro

Un’altra caratteristica che tende a far spiccare questo gioco è che se lo prenderete lo giocherete al buio! Si, avete letto bene, le partite di giocheranno al buio!
Ogni investigatore sarà rappresentato sul tabellone di gioco da una miniatura, la cui base sarà dotata di una luce al LED. La luce servirà proprio per giocare e avrà un ruolo molto importante nel corso della partita.
Saranno inoltre presenti differenti lenti colorate da utilizzare come filtri e a seconda del colore utilizzato per illuminare il tabellone differenti indizi e pericoli verranno rivelati.

APP INTERATTIVA

Il gioco potrà essere giocato utilizzando anche una app apposita (e gratuita) che ne espanderà ancora di più l’immersione e la giocabilità.
Ad esempio nel corso della partita per scoprire cosa si annida in una casa potenzialmente infestata potremo decidere di piazzare un registratore in una determinata stanza. Grazie all’app potremo realmente ascoltare cosa è stato registrato durante la notte, se solo rumore statico o…….voci dall’altro mondo!!!

ADRENALINA E BATTERIE

AVGhost Paranormal Investigation – Adrealina e batterie della torcia sulla scheda del giocatore

I personaggi si imbatteranno nel corso delle investigazioni in essere molto poco benevoli, anzi proprio incattiviti e arrabbiati! Esiste un limite per il loro povero cuore e dopo troppe emozioni saranno vittime di uno shock che li metterà fuori gioco.

Come avete letto al luce è un elemento fondamentale nel gioco. Verrà utilizzata sia per esplorare che per scacciare i non-morti che si scopriranno nelle varie stanze. Ma la batteria non è certo infinita e dopo un pò, a causa di utilizzi sconsiderati, si rimarrà al buio!!!

 

CONSIDERAZIONI FINALI

Il gioco sta incontrando buone reazioni su Kickstarter, ma secondo me merita anche qualcosa in più vista la sua originalità.

Forse paga un pò il fatto che pur non essendo un titolo legacy, la rigiocabilità è davvero poca, andare a rigiocare un caso già aperto e chiuso non è poi così divertente.

Se vi abbiamo incuriosito avete ancora un pò di tempo per meglio sbirciare il Kickstarter e eventualmente lasciare il vostro pledge.
