Esiste tutta una nuova generazione di giochi di ruolo che negli ultimi anni si sta affacciando al mercato, creando delle piccole nicchie di giocatori, sia nuovi che non, e imponendosi per un qualcosa di diverso o particolare.
MÖRK BORG è uno di questi nuovi giochi di ruolo moderni!

Chi concepisce il gioco di ruolo come il solo classico (e meraviglioso con i suoi alti e bassi) Dungeons & Dragons potrebbe storcere il naso di fronte a questo prodotto.

Ma se hai la mente aperta e ti guardi intorno cercando qualcosa di nuovo e diverso, MÖRK BORG ti colpisce come un coltello….arrugginito!

MÖRK BORG è un gioco di ruolo estremamente snello, pochissime regole e tante illustrazioni.
Fa parte degli OSR (Old School Renaissance), appartenente a quel movimento che vuole riportare in auge il modo di giocare di ruolo tipico degli anni ’70 e ’80, parliamo degli albori del gdr mondiale in pratica. Al momento è disponibile solo in lingua inglese e svedese, sua lingua originaria, e non si hanno notizie su una traduzione in italiano.

MÖRK BORG è un gioco di ruolo artpunk da giorno del giudizio dove miserabili bastardi ed eretici sopravvivono e sopportano un mondo tetro e morente.
Gli stessi autori lo definiscono come un flagello appuntito che ti arriva dritto in faccia!

Ma dopo questa piccola introduzione oggi vogliamo parlarvi di MÖRK BORG CULT: HERETIC, una sua espansione!

CULT: HERETIC ha da poco raggiunto il successo su Kickstarter riuscendo ad accumulare finanziamenti per circa 140mila euro! Davvero niente male per una espansione di un gioco di ruolo di nicchia!
Sarà composto da materiale in parte già disponibile free sul sito ufficiale del gioco, ma anche da altre chicche esclusive destinate al solo Kickstarter.
In questa e-zine dai colori acidi si potranno trovare nuovi mostri, avventure, lore aggiuntivo, oggetti maledetti e tanto altro ancora. Inoltre alcuni pledge level includono anche la possibilità di portarsi a casa lo schermo del Master e un misterioso plico nero sigillato, che i più coraggiosi sussurrano contenere informazioni su quattro divinità morte e dimenticate (Bilkherd, Becklure, Old Dead e Silkfiend).

CULT: HERETIC segue la linea stilistica del gioco originario. Con disegni che rompono gli schemi delle pagine. Diversi tipi di font che si ammucchiano in pagine fitte di note e povere di regole. Colori che feriscono gli occhi e sembrano incidere il cuore.
L’impressione è che riesca a trasmettere il suo messaggio ludico non attraverso tabelle e regole, ma con uno stile unico prettamente artistico che ci riempie gli occhi e la mente di una atmosfera così densa da farci immedesimare e appassionare!

Non so se riusciremo a giocarci qui nella GEEK FAMILY perché si tratta comunque di libri ricchi di contenuti maturi! Vedremo come sarà il prodotto finito quando potremo metterci le mani sopra e vi faremo sapere. MÖRK BORG is an extremely lean RPG, very few rules and lots of illustrations.
It is part of the OSR (Old School Renaissance), belonging to that movement that wants to revive the role-playing style typical of the 70s and 80s, let’s talk about the dawn of the world RPG in practice. At the moment it is only available in English and Swedish, its original language, and there is no news on an Italian translation.

CULT: HERETIC has recently achieved success on Kickstarter, managing to accumulate funding for over 140 thousand euros! Not a bad result for a niche RPG expansion!
It will be composed of material already available for free on the official website of the game, but also of other exclusive goodies intended only for Kickstarter.
In this acid-colored e-zine you will find new monsters, adventures, additional lore, cursed items and much more. In addition, some pledge levels also include the ability to take home the Master’s screen and a mysterious black sealed envelope, which the bravest whisper contains information on four dead and forgotten deities (Bilkherd, Becklure, Old Dead and Silkfiend).

CULT: HERETIC follows the stylistic line of the original core game. With drawings that break the patterns of the pages. Different types of fonts that pile up in pages full of notes and without dozens of tables. Colors that hurt the eyes and seem to affect the heart.
The impression is that it manages to convey his playful message not through tables and rules, but with a unique, purely artistic style that fills our eyes and mind with an atmosphere so dense that it makes us identify and become passionate!

I don’t know if we will be able to play it here in the GEEK FAMILY because these are still books full of mature content! We will see what the finished product will look like when we can get our hands on it and let you know.
